My name is Krista and this is my beautiful little family. Steve, the Dad, Amanda and Sara the big sisters and of course Jacob better known as Jake. We found out at 13 weeks that Jake was going to have Down Syndrome. It was a shock to hear but once we found out he was a boy too there was no other way for us but to accept this journey and experience the life of a child with Ds. I have to say , so far, it is amazing! He has given us something in life we didn’t have before, the ability to slow down, enjoy all the little things and most of all a love far beyond what we all knew before. We all stop now to look at everyone a little differently then we did before.He has brought so many other wonderful people into our lives as well. What a beautiful gift we recieved on June 30th 2011, filled with so much promise ,determination and love. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Welcome all to the journey!
